Merran studied to become a Naturopath at the Southern School of Natural Therapies in Melbourne, but has had a lifelong passion for 'nutrition as medicine', and the healing power of herbs. Her four year Bachelor of Health Science degree included 3 years of clinical nutrition, and 3 years of herbal medicine studies.
Accredited through the Australian Natural Therapists Association, or ANTA, (http://www.australiannaturaltherapistsassociation.com.au/), one of the leading professional associations for Naturopaths in the country. Merran is associated with the MINDD Foundation (http://www.mindd.org/), an organisation dedicated to the Metabolic, Immunologic, Neurologic, and Digestive Disorders that children are suffering from as a result of modern day lifestyles and health choices.
Since becoming a mother of two, Marran can see the real importance of not over-medicating our children, and how natural therapies can be so useful in supporting kids' body systems to maintain good health.
Merran provides a mobile consultation service to people on the Mornington Peninsula and can be contacted through her website www.mwnaturopath.com.au
